Is Zombieland 2 the film of 2019?
As we enter 2020, I want to reflect on my favorite movie of 2019.
Zombieland: Double Tap may not be the most popular choice for best picture in the year that gave us Joker, especially considering it’s a sequel that took ten years to get made.
But this particular sequel has proved successful in the box office, grossing over $114,000,000 as of the time of writing, bettering that of the original (granted, it was filmed with twice the budget) and is well directed by Ruben Fleischer and written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and David Callaham.
The return of Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin for this breath-taking hilarious sequel to the already brilliant original might have taken ten years but in the end it was worth the wait.
