An Interview with Carrie Savage
What’s it like working in the industry today:
It’s changed a bit since I’ve first started. I know Funimation.
I don’t get to work with them as often because I‘m in New York right now and I know what they’re doing is very different? So, I know it’s a very different process for them. Also, the script writing has changed.
There’s not so much happening in New York right now. Anime wise, there’s just two shows. But I’ve been dubbing a lot of French animation into English. And also doing script adapting for that. Those are mostly children’s shows though. There’s also a lot of Korean stuff being adapted and translated into English.
Robot Trains was one of those. I’m auditioning for lots of theatre as well. And that’s really tough, because you audition, and you audition and you audition. I’ve gone on 100 of auditions but so far nothing. So those are really tough. New York is ruining me, I gotta admit. And theatre school, a bit.
