CULT COMEDY CARTOON ROGUES, THE BRUVS, SMASH INTO THE WORLD OF GAMING WITH THEIR FIRST OUTPUT – “BUST-A-DOOR” LONDON ANIMATION
COMEDY TEAMS WITH CANADIAN INDIE DEVS TO BREAK INTO GAMING WITH “BUST-A-DOOR”
Brit cult comedy cartoon rascals The Bruvs have entered the world of gaming thanks to a “whack-a-mole” style venture created in tandem with Canadian indie studio GremlinWorx Entertainment.
The Bruvs’ cartoon series features a family of London villains trying to mend their ways. Generally, they fail – thanks to brothers Doug and Den Bruv, the new leaders of the family firm. Their short fuses and aggressive nature mean things usually end up with the brothers turning on each other.
More than 40 cartoon films now sit on The Bruvs’ Youtube channel and feature on their twitter and Facebook sites. The crooks also feature in original songs, music and audio comedy sketches on The Bruvs’ Soundcloud site. Whether they’re visiting a new dentist, a gallery, a bank or celebrating Hallow’een or Christmas, things usually end badly.
Bust-A-Door v0.95 is now available to play as part of an Open Beta test run on Google Play. Update v0.96, expected to release in the next few days, will focus on delivering a stable release to iOS users.
Leaving room for more development to accommodate good user feedback was always the plan. There are further features of the game to be unleashed as well. Typical for The Bruvs, a baseball bat features as Doug Bruv makes his way to a front door. Players are then presented with a range of targets on the door to hit and break their way in – or Bust the door.
