Some would probably call us crazy for tackling the huge project that’s become “Social Murderer” on NO budget – however my partner Marshall & I refused to wait around any longer.
Starting as Actors in the industry, we as many beginning their career faced the countless auditions, rejections, failure to receive footage and waiting around for the next opportunity – or the next opportunity that didn’t have anything to do with our racial background.
With a passion to Act but also to tell stories, we decided to combine my love of writing and Marshall’s passion to create film content together to create our own work and keep the momentum flowing. Hence the start of our indie company New Order Art House.
After creation of our company we went on to create many short clips, a few pilot series ideas & a no-budget 30 min short feature (Lost Focus 2019), all while starting up our own private acting classes. On the outside you could say we were on a roll but on the inside, mental doubts, struggles and outside pressures had a way of taking their toll.
