Britannia for the most part is historically inaccurate some are closer to accurate but not much, listen to me as I explain why I think this season is a must watch but never too be taken too seriously on some historical accounts:
According to Wikipedia, the Druid’s wore white raiment’s, and they had certain religious power over the tribes the Romans encountered. Little is known about the more main land tribes but the druids did hold a certain power over the ancient Celts and held the delegation to decide a person was outcasted from religious ceremonies and tribes itself. While the series places the druids to have the power for a girl to become a woman is unknown, they did certainly celebrate summer solstice and did throw a festival for it.
The druids only communicated through oral instruction and did not have any written instructions. That being said, the significance of some of the ruins is quite confusing.
Historians who studied ancient Briton can tell however about Stonehenge and how they built it cause they believed the sun god would help prosper them with growing their yield and giving them energy. So we do know somewhat about their ancient culture in other ways.
One way if you really study history you can tell that the paint they have on them wasn’t later until really early medieval days.
